Children’s Free Tutoring Program
Sponsored and Supported by Greene County United Way & Comcast
Coordinator: Jim Lindstrom
In 2003, the Eva K. Bowlby Library began offering a free children’s tutoring program. This wonderful program has taken off like a rocket and is provided to children, ages 6-18 years old.
The program operates on the following schedule:
- Second week of September - First week of December
- Third week of January - First week of May
- Summer Activities
The tutors, students, and coordinator have fun working together to improve each child’s skills. Typically tutors and students meet twice a week for an hour or two depending on the child’s age and needs.
Available meeting times are as follows:
- Monday thru Thursday: 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
If you are interested in the tutoring program for your child or to become a tutor, please call Bowlby Library at (724) 627-9776.
We also offer assistance with the G.E.D., S.A.T. and other standardized tests.
