Our Mission:

To provide, through the use of traditional and emerging technologies, materials and services for community residents of all ages for Literacy, Information, Fun, and Enrichment. We especially recognize our responsibility to serve as a place to discover the joy of reading and the value of libraries.

Our Online Catalog where you can search for materials, renew the items you currently have checked out, and place a hold on an item you wish to reserve.

The POWER Library is a service of Pennsylvania’s public libraries, school libraries, and the State Library. The POWER Library provides access to thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps, and reference materials for people of all ages.

Obtaining a Library Card

Any permanent resident of Greene County, Greene County property owner, Waynesburg University student, a person who is employed in Greene County, or a non-resident presenting a library card issued from another library and bearing an Access PA sticker may receive a free library card upon completion of an application and provision of proof of identification (ID) and current address. Acceptable photo ID's:

  • Valid driver's license w/ current address or Motor Vehicles-issued change of address card
  • Government issued photo ID w/ current address
  • Current utility bill, printed checks, or property tax statement

Non-residents may register for a library card with full borrowing privileges by completing the above steps, and paying an annual fee of $10.00.
